Born in San Francisco and raised in New York City, Sofia Szamosi is a lifelong artist and has been working in photo booths since 2005. Szamosi studied at New York University and works as a consultant in the art department of a treatment center for substance abuse. Her work has been shown in group and solo shows in New York City at the Gallatin Galleries, Open Source Gallery, Superchief Gallery, and Proto Gallery, and in Detroit at the Center Galleries. Her other titles include Psychic Menagerie, No Words: Book 1&2, 28 Photos with 28 People on My 28th Birthday, 10 Years of Photobooth Self-Portraits, The Thank You Book, Rat Shoe, Hate Baby, The Saga of Stan and the Light, The Adventures of Scapegoat, Aventures in Mutual Aid, and Every Photobooth in Berlin.
