It’s ensconced in a velvet and gold lamé accordion fold binding that was designed by Marshall Weber and Sophia Kramer and fabricated by Kramer. The book deftly dissects the American consumer culture’s commodification of the human body as both a fragile product and a militarized cyborg. The plush velvety book is cuddled by a lovely velvet and iridescent lamé clamshell box with an inset illustration. The title and author’s name are gold foil-stamped on the box’s cover, and the title is also gold foil-stamped on the box’s spine. Thus, the box is a perfect element to accompany the book in any exhibition.
