It is important to recognize the unique communities that WOC/QPOC have created, Sass + Zines provides a platform for these individual artists and communities to come together and share their work with each other and with a larger audience. Vendors are local artists, as well as small presses and zine collectives from D.C. and Baltimore. The work presented at Sass + Zines includes perzines, independent comics, artist books, and risograph prints.

Among the vendors are: Maamoul Press, a multidisciplinary collective consisting of a diverse range of creators from marginalized backgrounds, working to foster the arts in their communities through publishing, workshops, exhibitions, and distribution; Secret Riso Club will exhibit risograph posters with pro-immigration and anti-gentrification messages, alongside zines with social justice narratives; Liu Light is an artist, illustrator, writer, musician, and performer. Their subjects primarily revolve around (dis)connection, reality, relationships, science fiction, self, and diaspora; La Horchata Zine is a seasonal publication featuring artists of Central American ancestry; Little Big Time Press promotes up-and-coming artists and illustrators from the Philippines, as well as creators with an interest in exploring and expanding the form of the book.
