It’s here: MY FAVORITE BOOK, the online exhibition.

March 28, 2022

Are you missing episodes of My Favorite Book? Watch them all here in the online exhibition.

My Favorite Book was a bright light during vaccine-summer 2021. Throughout the month of June, we produced 18 live-streamed episodes about artists working in the book format. They simply showed and talked about the favorite book they’d ever made. It was incredible.

Candace Hicks showed us her oversized, hand-embroidered book, The Case of the Isolated Seamstress; John Vasquez Mejias talked about his zine, published in 2020 and already a cult favorite, The Puerto Rican War; Colette Fu popped open her pop-up book, A Day in The Terraced Rice Fields, which is part of her series of pop-up books about ethnic minority groups in China; Eliana Perez discussed Falso +, her unique book about Los Falsos Positivos” (The False Positives), a group of over 10,000 Colombian civilians murdered by the Colombian army between 2002-2010; and finally, Evgenia Kim shows her book, Koryo Saram, about her Korean family’s assimilation into Soviet Union culture in Uzbekistan.

We welcome you to dive in and watch a few videos. You are sure to find inspiring moments and insights on working in this exciting artistic format.
