Ever since Scott Williams’s failing eyesight precluded him from doing any more of his acclaimed airbrushed paintings and artists’ books, he is releasing his astounding and enigmatic sketchbooks to the world. Scott has been working on Watch Your Sheep sketchbook for over a decade. The title is a nod to Watch Your Step, his acclaimed collaborative artists’ book with Fred Rinne and Dana Smith. The book has some of the most intricate and delicate examples of manipulated stencil airbrushing and pencil drawing ever put to paper, and features some extremely elegant and mysterious bird studies.
