Tritone printed throughout on heavyweight drawing paper, with silkscreened endpapers. Gilded pages. Clothbound with embossing. Numbered edition of 200 copies.

This elegantly produced edition showcases Allyson Vieira’s drawings and writing on the formal and ideological connections between Periclean Greece, the American and French Revolutions, and twentieth-century Minimalism. Using a palette of blue, red, and white, the works constellate around a common center that includes Euclid, Pericles, and Athena Polias.

Allyson Vieira has an MFA from BARD and a BA from Cooper Union. She shows with Small a projects in New York City and has been in group exhibitions including “Painting and Sculpture” at Lehmann Maupin, 2010; “Knight’s Move” at SculptureCenter, 2010; “Evading Customs” at Brown Gallery, London, 2009; “#18: Take Care” at Champion Fine Arts in Brooklyn, 2004; “Freedom Salon” at Deitch Projects, 2004.
