An exceptionally dark palette coheres this onionskin, multi-layered, rabbit hole of a book. Tripp uses his own distinct take on Karuk iconography to plunge us into a swirling constellation of intimate fragments of profoundly moving self-portraits, autobiographical poetry, and Karuk cosmology and spiritualism.

This is one of a series of numerous books accreted from Tripp’s huge output of drawings on transparent materials. The binding by Sophia Kramer of White Iris Books pays/plays homage to Tripp’s love of plexiglass and transparent substrates.
