The Lunch Box Fund Cook Book includes Mario Batali’s favorite recipes from Italy, starting in Roma and heading south to Napoli.
All linocuts were carved by Jim Dine in Walla Walla, Washington, and printed directly from the blocks.
Typography and letterpress by Ruth Lingen, using handset ATF Bulmer type, with Stephenson Blake and wood type titling. Printed on Vandercook SP20 with help from Barbara Henry, on Somerset paper. Bound under the direction of Judith Ivry in cloth over boards. Printing and coptic binding done by hand in New York City, 2012.
