The Case of the Isolated Seamstress is a hand-stitched unique artist book that is Candace Hick’s first book of fiction, in the style of Candace Hick’s Common Threads series. The narrative voice uses threads from mystery novels and works to decode a mystery within its pages. There are pages with violence done unto them, illustrations, written text, and copies of pages of the books that the narrator is reading. The title page is also stitched by hand in a pulp novel style.
The pages of this book are unbound and are designed to hang. Candace created a box for this book, which is slightly tipped in the middle, shaped like a lectern.
