A moody set of newspaper interventions primarily made with red ballpoint ink and marker pens. Tripp uses his deadly and deadpan sense of humor to sharply critique and recontextualize white American perspectives on numerous plebian and catastrophic subject matter. Tripp’s considerate, efficient, almost minimalist, drawn interventions onto the newspaper stories and advertisements completely disrupt their brutal naivete and their naïve brutality.
