Someday is a look at the mundane, spiritual, and social elements of inter-generational trauma. This trauma stems from living as a people under an occupied land. Tripp uses the eviction of his artist’s studio in Eureka, CA to illustrate his people’s eviction from their continent onto reservations. The abstract expressionistic figuration adds a fragmented illustration of this issue.
The translucent pages stack texts and drawings into an evocative and painterly palimpsest.
