A brief memoir set in a Blockbuster in 1999.
Statement:
Please Remember To Rewind Your Mind evokes nostalgia for the days of video rental stores but no VCR is required for play. Simply turn the spools beneath in tandem to advance the text. A memoir set in 1999 just as DVDs were replacing VHS and anxiety about Y2K was mounting, it’s a story I’ve recounted so many times I worry the telling has distorted it. However, I’m pretty sure my first boss was a 15-year-old with gigantism, and I didn’t know him well before he disappeared.
