6 ClickTVs with 10 images each, in a box made of white and green acrylic glass, box title printed with silkscreen.
In summer 2018 I talked to a good friend who is professor for Korean Studies and travels from time to time to North Korea. During the last 14 years the city of Pyongyang seemed to have changed al lot: some new high-rise buildings were constructed, small markets and kiosks popped up over the city and much more traffic filled the streets. I got very curious and when they planned a trip in September 2018. I asked them to take pictures of the places I documented in 2004 as well as photos of all the changes. I divided these images into six groups and ordered for each group a ‘ClickTV’, a special kind of city souvenir which was popular in the 1960s and very much reminds me of the North Korean aesthetics.
