Photo Peshawar explores the photographic culture in the city of Peshawar, Pakistan, surveying the numerous popular photographic styles of the once vibrant small neighborhood photo studio scene. Birk and Foley spent weeks gathering thousands of photographs from photo studios throughout the city and thus preserving the flavor of the dynamic and creative local and regional photographic portraiture culture.
