Guns, Beards & Poetry is a set of two books with woodcuts and etchings based on photographs from Lukas’ archive of large format negatives taken by photo studios in Peshawar, Pakistan. The images are fused with 17th-century Sufi poetry by Rahman Baba, a Pashto poet also from Peshawar.
