Printed on the letterpress by Philip Gallo at The Hermetic Press in Minneapolis, this print is a fundraiser for Booklyn. The entire run has been generously donated by Gallo. The image is derived from a wax rubbing of the Chrysler Building (from a bronze sidewalk plaque on 41st street near Park Avenue in Manhattan) and a mono-print made by that wax rubbing, which is a page spread of a book of the same name held in the Special Collections Department of the Library of Congress in Washington D. C.
The text (which ascends from the bottom of the print) is an excerpt from a poem by Weber, also of the same name.
Booklyn is honored by this elegant and generous donation.
(BTW – the pour should be two fingers, not one.)
