AI 001 is a further effort in liberating the book from the constraints of the rectangle, a similar struggle shared with many architects. Rubbings from various architectural plaques in Manhattan form the templates for the complex collage work that manifests in both the second, third and fourth (physically interactive within time/space) dimensions.
The paper folding concept was developed and executed by C. K. Wilde, the interior artwork was done by Kurt Allerslev and Marshall Weber. The book design was by Marshall Weber, with binding design and fabrication by Sophia Kramer.
The slide show ends with the book in its natural habitat in the Special Collections Library of Trinity College in Hartford Connecticut, with the final image being a photo of Organik artist Kurt Allerslev thrown in for scale.
