“This piece started with the two sculptural pieces housed inside of a clamshell box. These two volumes nest into each other when the box is closed. On the left the clamshell carries a torn stacked topography carrying the image of the chest. On the right side is the stacked topography of the image which is torn out of the middle of the chest in receding curves. The clamshell box is covered with the floral patterned bedsheet I loved in south of Iran while living there for a few months.”
