‘With A Dictionary Story I was exploring the idea of ‘reading environments’ and what happens when you become ‘lost’ inside a book. I wanted to see what would happen if words could take on their own meaning without the help of the reader. My work often focuses on how we use language—from the order we read words to the shape the pages take. I look at existing books—such as Dictionaries, timetables, and children stories—and see if I can make new narratives from them.’
