A powerful and stark graphic primer regarding climate change is an artists’ book equivalent to the “red pill”. The book features stinging quotes from scientists and activists on the frontlines of climate change, chillingly illustrating the relationship between the climate catastrophe and the Covid pandemic and evoking the all-encompassing nature of our species’ current existential crisis.
Roger Peet is an artist, printmaker, and writer living in Portland, Oregon. His work engages the millennial tension between human activities and the integrity of wild phenomena; addressing the contemporary crises of biodiversity and capitalism, how they change landscapes and lives, and what can and can’t be done about them. He is a founding member of the Justseeds Artists’ Cooperative, coordinates the national Endangered Species Mural Project, and helps to run the cooperative Flight 64 print studio in Portland. He collaborates with artists, organizers, and scientists globally and locally in the service of a more generous and wilder world. Well known for his beautiful prints and graphics this is Roger’s first artists’ book
7 four-color, reduction, hand-carved, linoleum relief prints, and 14 single-color, hand-carved, linoleum relief prints (including two covers) all printed on Vandercook 3 letter-press.
