1991 Gulf War is an altered book, painted and hand collaged, that is heavily embellished with Agee’s signature illuminations. The book is a meditation on the desperate emotional landscape prompted by the start of the 1991 Gulf War. Agee’s exuberant urban/folk style creates an intimate and enigmatic relic that intervenes in the functionality and form of the traditional codex.
