Bulletin #10: Veronika Schäpers
August 3, 2021
August 3, 2021 Hello, The love and openness to new materials and techniques side by side to the awareness of the tradition is what really impresses me and I feel very close to it. — Veronika Schäpers Veronika Schäpers (b. 1969, Coesfeld, Germany) has long been a well-known name in international artists’ books. I’d describe her work as gentle and utterly respectful to both the subject matter and craft. She was recently featured in the 2020 PBS documentary The Book Makers as part of an eclectic group of people who have dedicated their lives to explore the form and function of the codex. Booklyn is honored to be the sole agent of her work in the United States, and I’m happy to share with you her latest publication, First You Have To Prove It To Me. Veronika recently made 11 additional titles available to Booklyn and therefore to you, dear librarian and curator. Please see the listings below, or go directly to our website to find out more.
