Booklyn seeks a Full-time Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in high end sales, strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable and skilled at speaking about social justice-centered artwork, and be motivated to fully engage with our clients’ needs and interests. The candidate should also be interested and capable of working as part of a cooperative team. We offer a highly competitive pay structure with benefits after three months. This is an incredibly unique sales position, with immense growth potential and team support. 

Responsibilities:
Travel to prestigious education, arts, and cultural institutions throughout the East Coast, and present work by Booklyn Artists & Organizations
Work as a team to consistently meet quarterly sales goals
Maintain and update both physical and online inventory database
Create sales invoices and sales reports
Represent Booklyn at art fairs and public events
Marketing and social media duties

Requirements:
Minimum three years sales experience with artist books, or fine art (IMPORTANT: applicants will not be considered without this experience)
Ability to travel regularly
Outstanding organizational, communication and networking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and standard database software
Experience in managing online sales
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent critical thinking, willingness to learn & ability to prioritize
Ability to effectively interact with and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues through clear and concise written and oral communication
Proven sales track record
Availability to work a flexible schedule
Participate in regular staff meetings
Motivated to support work by artists and organizations with a focus on social justice
Undergraduate degree

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of the national academic library and museum system, the history of contemporary artists’ books and archives production and collection
Knowledge of and experience in contemporary artists’ book and social justice material and ephemera (both dealing and collecting)
Knowledge of book and archive production in diverse underserved and social/gender/environmental justice communities
Experience with Adobe Suite software, QuickBooks, and Collective Access
Personal involvement in the arts and social justice
