V Adams is a printmaker who splits their time between New Orleans, LA, and Pittsburgh, PA. V creates prints, zines, and installations exploring the life cycles of plants, the phases of the moon, and “the future.” V helped found the New Orleans Community Printshop and organized community-focused printmaking programming for 7 years. They were a contributing artist to the Slow Holler Tarot Deck, a collection of tarot cards by southern/queer artists. Vanessa is currently a co-curator of the Queer Ecology Hanky Project, a traveling print exhibition project with over 120 artist bandanas. They also work collaboratively with Andrea Narno, as Birds of Paradise Press, to create print work that explores borders and migration. They have shown their work across the US and have done residencies at Women’s Studio Workshop (NY), Eureka! House (NY), La Ceiba Gráfica (Veracruz, MX), Penland School of Crafts (NC), The Future (MN), and Anchor Archive (Halifax, CA).
