About my work:

As an artist I draw inspiration from environmental issues, global culture and politics and use a variety of printmaking techniques—letterpress, relief printmaking, collotype, mono print, lithography, as well as drawing and collage. My Midwestern roots inform my work, which focuses on my appreciation for nature and straightforward design. My goal is simple––the seamless balance of materials, structure and content. Using printmaking and artist books as a means to convey my ideas is important. It allows me to work on multiple levels simultaneously (sculptural, sequential and visual), while creating a personal experience for the viewer.
